5 th MW Congress: VERTICAL MANOEUVRE (VM), Monday, 02 OCT

Mountain Warfare (MW) always requires a high degree of
agility and flexibility. These necessary parameters can
only be achieved through the mastery of various mountain
techniques and their consistent application.
This way, the advantages offered by the mountainous en‐
vironment can be fully exploited and the necessary supe‐
riority in mobility can be achieved.
At the same time, one must open up to new opportunities
and bring these new possibilities to arise very quickly.

The three‐day Congress will thus offer the interested pub‐
lic a platform and share the experiences of the different
nations in this field.
The Congress will provide them with the opportunity to
examine the different aspects together. Experts from dif‐
ferent nations will present their experiences.

According to the basic function of the NATO COEs, the NATO
MW COE will provide the Community of Interest with rec‐
ognized deeper knowledge and real‐life expertise in this
field and experience from different points of view.
The Congress as a platform creates an opportunity to com
bine knowledge and experience from a range of experts.
